- Twilio Toll-Free Registration API – We have now integrated with Twilio’s toll-free number registration API so that your clients can easily and automatically submit their toll-free number for verification through their user panel dashboard! After it has been submitted, they can then track the status of that request. They can also make changes to the request if needed and requested by the carrier. After a user gets a toll-free number in the platform, they will be shown a message and provided a link that takes them to the registration form to fill out their details. There is nothing the admin needs to do here as all this is done automatically through the API.
Toll-free messaging is emerging as the hottest 10DLC alternative for the majority of use-cases in the USA. What is toll-free messaging typically used for? Think of how many businesses have a toll-free number that their customers know and love. Now imagine that number can send or receive messages to the same customers. Perfect for sales, customer service and even marketing.Some folks are put off by Toll-Free Messaging because of the old-school, paperwork-heavy way of registering that some SMS gateway vendors make them use, but Telnyx and now Twilio, their swift and digital registration for toll-free SMS can be done via their API which we have now integrated with, so this can be done through the user panel dashboard by the user themselves.
NOTE: Mobile carriers are now requiring that all new Toll-Free numbers provisioned must complete use case verification before sending traffic. This will ensure the highest possible delivery rates through the carriers. Approval time can vary greatly depending on the volume of requests the carriers are receiving, however toll-free numbers can still be used while it is waiting to be approved.
- Merge and Purge Groups – In the current merge groups feature, we have added an option to purge the contacts from the group you are moving the contacts from. Currently when merging contacts from 1 group to another, it will move the contacts over to the group(s) selected while also keeping them in the original group. You now have the option to purge them from the original group while they are moved over to the new group(s).
