Unique Short Links

 

• Unique Contact Short Links – We have added a feature that has been requested often by our clients. You now have the option when sending SMS to toggle on/off generating a unique short link for each contact. When turned on, you simply input the long URL you want to shorten and each SMS will automatically generate a unique shortened link for each contact so the system can track who clicked it. You can then view and export the sent stats inside the Logs module and see what contacts clicked the link. This will help create segments based on engagement, such as engaged users and non-engaged users. This works with our current short link feature where you will need to register your own custom short domain name you want to use to shorten links. Most carriers no longer allow commercial link shorteners like bit.ly, goo.gl, rebrand.ly, tiny.cc, etc…and will just block the messages that contain them. Using your own domain for this purpose will allow you to bypass spam filters allowing messages to be sent with short URLs.
• Tweaks to Export Logs – Made some additional tweaks to the export logs for further performance and efficiency.
